So today we had the opportunity to use our bodies again in a way that we would be able to teach a class. The exercises that we used are useful in the terms that it will get the kids in an active mood and then ready to focus on an assignment once they have had their blood pumping to their brain. We ran in circles, jumped, skipped, leaped, crawled I never thought I was gonna do so much activity in one course. Not only are these skills useful to use in terms of calming down the class or waking them up but it also the students get their physical activity of the day. In the picture above we had to connect with our partners without using our hands. In other terms my partner and I connected by touching our feet, then our elbows and lastly our arms, but the challenge was to handle each other’s weight. It was really fun seeing each other’s different connected points. I discovered that I could do a lot with my body because I always thought of myself as a stiff board, who could not follow any choreography or move my feet in the way that I did today when we did the grape vine. I believe I would use this in a classroom setting because students will learn to use their bodies and understand their bodies.
